“Uttarakhand govt fully committed to development of universities”: CM Dhami – World News Network

Pauri Garhwal (Uttarakhand) [India], April 18 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday participated in the student union inauguration ceremony organized at Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University Campus, Srinagar in Pauri Garhwal distrcit and said that the state government is fully committed to the development of universities.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government is fully committed to the development of universities.
“The state government is taking Uttarakhand forward on the path of progress through various innovative action plans,” CM Dhami said.
He said that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the UCC law, it is a matter of pride for all the people of the state. In the last three and a half years, the state government has given government jobs to more than 22 thousand youth.

“The unemployment rate of the state has come down by 4.4 percent. He said that the state of Uttarakhand has secured first place in the country in the list of Sustainable Development Goals released by NITI Aayog,” he added.
CM Dhami described the decision to implement the anti-copying law as historic and said that this would give hardworking and talented students their rights.
The Chief Minister said that the government is currently working on important projects like Model College, Women’s Hostel, IT Lab, Examination Bhawan, Astro Park and Science City.
“Apart from this, a favorable environment has also been created for startups in the state,” CM Dhami said.

Cabinet Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that the state government is giving top priority to the field of education.
He called upon the university administration and students to work together towards improving the quality of education.
He said that the government is ready to help the students in every possible way and is constantly making efforts to make the institutions of higher education world class.

MLA Vinod Kandari praised the ceremony and said that he wished the students all the best for their new responsibilities.
He inspired the students to play an active role in social and national development along with education. He assured all possible cooperation in the development of the university. (ANI)
