New Delhi [India], February 10 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief VD Sharma on Monday said that all his party workers, Member of Parliament (MPs) and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are facilitating pilgrims heading to Prayagraj via Madhya Pradesh to take holy dip at Maha Kumbh Mela.
He emphasised that the pilgrims are being enabled with food, accommodation, medical camps along the highways and toilet facilities by the party workers in their respective regions in the state.
“People are heading to Prayagraj to take a holy dip. People coming from the south region are also passing through the state at various locations like Katni, Satna, Rewa, Siddhi, Shahdol, Umaria and Sangrauli. All BJP workers, party MPs and MLAs are facilitating pilgrims with food, accommodation, medical camps along the highways and toilet facilities,” Sharma told ANI.
Local people are also engaged in providing assistance to the pilgrims so that they don’t face any difficulty and these efforts are going on continuously, he added.
When asked about the opposition raising question about management at Maha Kumbh Mela, Sharma said, “Be it Akhilesh Yadav or Rahul Gandhi, they have always been trying how to defame India. It is our good fortune that Mahakumbh is happening in our country and a large number of people are taking a holy dip. Such a good management system that people are researching how such a big festival can be organised. This Mahakumbh is historic.”
The Maha Kumbh Mela, held in Prayagraj, a revered centre of faith and devotion for millions, draws a vast number of pilgrims from across the country and abroad for the sacred Kumbh Snan.
Mahakumbh 2025, which commenced on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from across the globe.
The Mahakumbh will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26. The event has already attracted millions of devotees from across the country and around the world and is expected to set new records for attendance and participation. (ANI)
