“Karnataka govt has failed to deliver development, should step down immediately”: BJP MLC N Ravi – World News Network

Kalaburagi (Karnatka) [India], November 24 (ANI): Amid mounting speculation over a potential change in Karnataka’s leadership, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLC N Ravi on Sunday criticised the state government, asserting that it has failed to deliver any tangible development during its two-and-a-half-year tenure and urged it to step down immediately.
Speaking to ANI, Ravi said, “The situation in Karnataka has worsened day by day… There’s been no activity in the entire Karnataka except for the ‘November Kranti’… I’m very disturbed… State’s development has deteriorated so much… The entire government, in the name of the ‘November Kranti,’ is doing nothing.”
He further alleged that senior Congress leaders, including DK Shivakumar, are keen to assume the Chief Minister’s position immediately, while Siddaramaiah and his supporters insist that the post is not vacant.
“DK Shivakumar wants to become CM immediately. Siddaramaiah and his supporters say the CM seat is not vacant. But the entire population of Karnataka is saying it’s best for this government to go… It’s best for this government to step down immediately, because it’s been in power for 2.5 years. There’s been no development at all,” Ravi said.
Meanwhile, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge maintained that the decision on the Chief Ministerial position would be taken by the party’s high command.
Addressing reporters outside his residence, Kharge said, “I have nothing to say,” Kharge said while addressing reporters outside his residence here.
“You have been standing here continuously for three days. There is nothing to say about the developments happening here. Whatever happens, the high command will do it. It is not required to worry too much about it,” he added.
His remarks come amid increasing speculation about a change in the CM face in Karnataka, with the “power-sharing agreement” of 2023 between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar being cited in political circles. (ANI)
