New Delhi [India], February 1 (ANI): The Union Budget 2025, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been hailed by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) as a significant step towards India’s economic development and inclusive empowerment
This budget is not just a presentation of figures, but a well-thought-out and solid blueprint for the nation’s economic future.
The plans laid out in this budget take into account the welfare of every section, economic strengthening, and social upliftment. It focuses on relief for the middle class, support for farmers, promotion of young entrepreneurs, and women’s empowerment.
The Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) has hailed this budget as the new flight for a self-reliant India, and a guide for the country’s economic independence and growth.
National Convener and Media in-charge of MRM, Shahid Sayeed, described this budget as a representation of the aspirations of 140 crore citizens of India.
He said, “This budget is a unique fusion of economic reforms, development, and good governance. From providing relief to taxpayers to investing in the agricultural sector and expanding loan facilities for small businesses, every decision ensures India’s economic strength and prosperity,” as per a statement of a release.
Sayeed further mentioned that the government has promoted Digital India by simplifying the KYC process, making banking and financial services more accessible to the people. He added that this budget would further strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Developed India.”
MRM’s National Convener, Prof. Shahid Akhtar, praised the special focus given to education and research in the budget.
He said, “This budget announces 10,000 fellowships under the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship Scheme, which will give new direction to research activities in IITs, IISERs, and IISc. Each researcher will receive an annual research grant of Rs two lakh for five years, making India’s scientific and technological innovations globally competitive.”
Prof. Akhtar called this initiative a historic step that will strengthen research in India and enhance the country’s role in global technological leadership.
Additionally, he described the decision to connect government schools and universities to digital connectivity as revolutionary.
Under the Digital India mission, every government school and primary health centre will be connected to broadband, making online education more effective. Prof. Akhtar mentioned that reforms in higher education and the promotion of digital education will make India’s youth globally competitive.
The National Convener and In-charge of the Women’s Wing of MRM, Shalini Ali, appreciated the budget, calling it a significant step toward women’s economic independence.
She said, “This budget provides women entrepreneurs with loans up to Rs two crore without any guarantees. This scheme will play a crucial role in making women self-reliant and empowering them economically.”
Shalini Ali also mentioned that the government has announced policy reforms to ensure the safety of women in workplaces, allowing them to contribute to the workforce with greater confidence. Furthermore, improvements have been made in maternity benefits to make them more effective. She said that this approach by the government will provide new opportunities for women in India, enabling them to play a more active role in nation-building.
MRM’s National Convener, Syed Raza Hussain Rizvi, praised the new facilities provided to MSMEs and startups.
He said, “The government has increased the loan guarantee cover for small and medium industries from Rs five crore to Rs 10 crore. This will provide easier loans to small and medium entrepreneurs, enabling them to expand their businesses.”
Rizvi also mentioned that loans of up to Rs 20 crore will be provided to startups, offering young entrepreneurs the opportunity to contribute to the Self-Reliant India Mission. He described this initiative as strengthening the startup revolution in India, which will create new employment opportunities for millions of young people.
MRM’s National Convener, Majid Talikoti, appreciated the reforms in the healthcare sector. He said, “The customs duty on 36 medicines for cancer and other serious diseases has been abolished, providing relief to patients from expensive treatments. Additionally, the government has announced the establishment of cancer care centres in every district over the next three years, making healthcare more accessible.”
Talikoti also mentioned that the government has announced the addition of 1.1 lakh new seats in medical colleges over the next 10 years.
This will increase the number of doctors in the country and make healthcare services more widespread. He said that this budget will bring a revolutionary change in India’s healthcare sector and make medical facilities more affordable for the poor and middle class.
National Conveners of MRM described Budget 2025 as historic and inclusive.
Shahid Sayeed said, “This budget prioritizes employment, investment, and innovation. With reforms in the MSME, education, and healthcare sectors, this budget will make India self-reliant and economically strong.”
Prof. Shahid Akhtar said, “This budget will be revolutionary for MSMEs and the education sector. The expansion of IITs and universities will provide students with a high-quality education.”
Shalini Ali said, “This budget provides a new direction for making women self-reliant. The increase in entrepreneurship and employment opportunities will strengthen their contribution to national development.”
Majid Talikoti said, “This budget will bring historic changes to India’s healthcare sector. Reforms in cancer treatment and medical education will provide better facilities to citizens.”
Budget 2025 has taken historic steps towards making India self-reliant, providing relief to taxpayers, farmers, entrepreneurs, students, and the general public.
