“Revanth Reddy making such comments to mislead public”: BJP’s T Raja Singh slams Telangana CM – World News Network

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], February 15 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA T Raja Singh on Saturday slammed Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of trying to mislead the public with his remarks.
T Raja Singh, an MLA from Telangana’s Goshamahal Assembly constituency, arrived here in Indore on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters, T Raja Singh said, “Revanth Reddy is stuck in a dilemma because he speaks only what Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi send him. He does not have subject knowledge.”
“The previous government in Telangana had made a debt of Rs 8 lakh crores on the state and after Reddy came to power, the debt has increased by additional Rs 1 lakh crores. The government has failed to handle Telangana. Revanth Reddy is making such comments to divert the mind of the public and to mislead them,” he added.
Meanwhile, a row erupted after Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy accused PM Modi of possessing an “anti-backwards classes” mentality. He further claimed that PM Modi’s caste was among the upper classes (caste) in Gujarat, but he merged that caste into backward classes (BC) after becoming the Chief Minister.
BJP national general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar slammed Telangana CM Revanth Reddy over his remarks against the Prime Minister, calling it a “desperate” diversion tactic from the promise of granting 42 per cent reservation for backward classes (BC).
Earlier, BJP leader N Ramchander Rao also condemned Telangana CM Reddy’s remarks on PM Modi’s caste terming them as “cheap” and in poor political taste.
Rao said that the statement was made to divert the people’s attention from the caste census “fiasco” of the Congress government in the State.
“The remarks by the Chief Minister of Telangana about the caste of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are cheap and in poor political taste. This statement has been made by the Congress party only to divert their caste census fiasco, which has failed in the state,” Rao told ANI.
“Their ministers themselves said that the entire census needs to be reviewed since some people have been left out,” he added. (ANI)
