RJD leaders protest against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar – World News Network

Patna (Bihar) [India], July 25 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders under the leadership of Bihar Legislative Council LoP Rabri Devi on Thursday staged a protest against Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar over his remarks on the RJD MLA Rekha Devi in the State Assembly.
RJD leaders were protesting outside the Bihar Legislative Council.
While staging a protest, former Bihar CM and RJD leader Rabri Devi said, “BJP and JDU do all the shameless things. I never said anything wrong… They are insulting women. I want to ask Lallan Singh, how educated are his mother and wife that he is accusing other women… CM Nitish Kumar should apologise for insulting women time and again.”
Meanwhile, she also slammed the budget and said, “The budget presented is just to save the ‘chair’…PM Modi has announced all of this just for Andhra Pradesh and Bihar to stay in power. Nitish Kumar has asked for a special status for Bihar, what will happen by giving packages? The people of Bihar should get employment, inflation should be controlled…Flyovers are built but over 20 of them have collapsed. In the budget, the Govt has done the work of fooling the people of Bihar.”
Earlier on Thursday, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed that the BJP-led Centre has “deceived the people of Bihar” by not giving Special Status to the state.
He blasted Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for “not uttering even a word” over the issue.
The former deputy CM said that the RJD knew beforehand that the BJP-led NDA government would not give the Special Status to Bihar.
“We knew beforehand that BJP-NDA will not give Special Status to Bihar and that JD(U) too is doing drama. With just a small amendment, other poor states like Bihar can be given Special Status. Big amendments have been made earlier too. It is our long-standing demand…NDA has deceived the people of Bihar. CM used to say that he would agitate and hit the streets. Now, the CM is not uttering even a word over Special Status to Bihar,” Yadav told ANI.
Notably, the Centre has recently rejected JD(U)’s request for ‘special category’ status for Bihar. (ANI)
